We at the club are so lucky with our members. Bill & Mavis Jones have kindly donated a Barbecue which will certainly come in handy at the next Junior Open so thank you so much you two.

The ‘Wakefield Bell’ has been given a spit and a polish as well as a new lanyard thanks to Shane Arndell and now that its origins are known it would seem a fitting time at resurrecting a team event between the Navy and members of the club.
All matches have been played on time and the juniors also did well in their pennants events.

The Grumpy’s still turn out in large numbers on Tuesdays and their dinner evening which was held in the club house recently proved to be a fun-filled and successful night.

Ladies 9 and 18 hole numbers are still up despite some indifferent weather during the month but that doesn’t seem to worry them too much and Thursday club too, continues to thrive with some really high scores being handed in.

The club’s mid year Ambrose tournament was a huge success at the weekend with 72 taking part; the eventual winners were Malcolm Wood, Terry Fraei, Mark Lucock and Lyall Callaghan with a very impressive Nett 54.7.

Promising junior member Reece Everson will be out of action for awhile following major surgery.

Thanks to the ladies committee, an air compressor has been set up to help with the cleaning of shoes and trundlers which is situated outside the ladies locker room and is now fully functioning.

Good Golfing & Good Luck Kevin Campbell
