Enjoy a day in the country

October 7, 2014 October 2014 No Comments

Enjoy-a-day-in-the-country New Zealand’s biggest little A&P Show is coming up again. The Community A&P Show, run by Tuturumuri School, is being held at the school on Friday, 24 October, 2014.

Last year’s show was a huge success and this one is planned to be even better. As usual the day will begin with the Calf/Pet day activities. The programme then moves on to the community events such as the wood chopping competitions and trailer backing where the country lads (and lasses) show off their rural based skills.

The cafe which was extremely popular last year will once again be offering good country fare which, along with a hangi, will ensure that there will no need to go hungry.

A highlight is sure to be an auction which will include decorated cakes and small goods including electrical equipment and gear from Ridgeline, Kiwi Stockmen, etc..

The white elephant stall which was impressive for it’s almost bewildering variety of bric a brac will again be there offering something for everyone. If you have anything you would like to donate to the school, for the white elephant stall, please contact us.  We are happy to collect items from Masterton to Martinborough.
There are also many fun activities for the kids planned throughout the day.

The animal judging will be held between 9am and 10.30 am followed by the entertainment segment from 11 am.
This is a great opportunity to come out and enjoy a real country experience,  and support Tuturumuri School.

For more information, please contact Lisa Malones or Joan Taylor at Tuturumuri School on 307 8110.
