GRAND OPENING 2017 SEASON
Cross Creek Railway’s Mini Train Carnival
Saturday 2nd September 10am – 3pm
Clifford Square Featherston
Come and ride the sparkling ‘Sam Mac’ a replica of KiwiRail’s diesel engine and visit the all new ‘Train Stop’

Come and see all the Model Trains Displayed in the ANZAC HALL and whilst there, view the Children’s Colouring-in Competition for 3-12 year olds, you can have your say as to who wins the generous prizes by voting for your choice. BE IN TO WIN! Colouring Contest Entries available from Featherston Supermarket and Library. Sit and enjoy the Story Telling in warm comfort. Listen to JNX Band’s 60’s music.

Down in Clifford Square Ride the Rail ($2 per ride)on a visiting train or Cross Creek Railway’s ‘Sam Mac’ or ‘Mini Fell’. Then have fun in John’s entertainment area, there will be lots to do! Feel like chilling out for a while, a great area to chill will be with ‘The Rimutaka Band’ listen and tap along to their alive music. A treat not to be missed!!

When refreshed move to watch the quirky activities of the Steampunk, Capital and Wair groups, with their dispute settling through Splendid Teapot Racing. The Featherston Fire Brigade will be there to show you how to put out a kitchen fire. Watch the Drones having fun!

There will be many more fun amusements. All in all a fun day not to be missed! Wander around the stalls in Birdward Boulevard and Foxie Ally. Very enjoyable! And whilst there treat yourself to some tasty food.
