MARTINBOROUGH RUGBY CLUB

March 15, 2017 March 2017, Sports No Comments

321C4912Thank you to everyone that supported the Pukemanu Bullride, another awesome night!  Thanks to James Bruce, Josh Hawkins, Parklee Bucking Bulls, all our valued sponsors, the hardworking volunteers, and everyone that supported this event!  We’ll see you all next year!

Thank you to all the guys that got up early, some on their feet for almost 12 hours, and slaved over a hot BBQ at Scotty’s BBQ at the recent Fair.  This has been a great fundraiser for the club for many years now, thanks Scotty, see you next month with some of the “younger” guys!

Work has been underway for a new storage shed beside the clubrooms – thanks to P&K Martinborough, Roofing Industries, Tony Croft, Mills Concreting, and Scott Madden, for help with their materials and labour.  We appreciate all your support!

On Saturday 18 February we had a team enter in the Colts division of the Hawkes Bay 7s…the boys did great, lost the 2 pool games but came back to win the “C Grade” championship.  They all represented the club really well (we were the only Wairarapa club at the event).  Thanks to Hatarei, Squidly & Scott for coaching, also Pip, Daniel & Erina for their help in making the day a huge success.
