A group of Mitre 10 and Mitre 10 MEGA stores have committed to supporting Life Flight, joining the charity’s family of sponsors. Mitre 10 Martinborough, Crofton Downs, Masterton and Marlborough have combined their efforts to provide support for the life-saving organisation.

“Supporting Life Flight is a good fit for us as it directly benefits Wairarapa people” said Conor Kershaw. “Everyone seems to know someone who has needed this amazing service at one stage in their lives. Within our own team the service has been required multiple times!”

In just the last half of 2016, nearly 100 people in the Wairarapa region were helped by Life Flight’s Westpac Rescue Helicopter or Air Ambulance Plane. For each mission, the charity must fundraise an average of $2,500.

“We’re so grateful to these stores for their amazing generosity,” says Life Flight Partnership & Development Manager Sherry Herrick. “We rely on community support. Without it we simply couldn’t continue saving lives. We have some great initiatives planned with Mitre 10 and I expect some really great things will happen from this partnership.”

Mitre 10 is committed to support Life Flight for at least three years.
