THE MINI FELL COMPLEX

May 9, 2017 May 2017 No Comments

Mini-fell-complexWINTER CLOSURE has arrived and this is a time where we can work on the rails and train maintenance so as to be ready to open for our SUMMER SEASON starting with the TRAIN CARNIVAL SATURDAY 2ND SEPTEMBER 2017
Cross Creek Railway’s year has been travelling at full speed. The TRAIN STOP and the Senior Citizen’s Serenity TUNNEL area were completed early in 2016 and have given a lot of joy to everyone. The ENGINE SHED extension started not long after the completion of the Train Stop and Serenity Corner it is coming up to the finish in a week’s time and then the BIG PARTY for all our 82 members in a celebration of what has been achieved in 1 year!!!!

To be more accessible for the public Cross Creek Railway changed the open hours to Friday Nights 5:30-8pm with train rides and an area for a picnic tea. Sunday open hours were changed to 11.30am-2pm and has proved to be a success. We have had an increase in the hiring of a train for that special occasion and we participated with train rides in the Booktown Weekend, Christmas Parade and Christmas Market Day, finishing 2016 with a very successful TRAIN CARNIVAL on the 1st weekend in September.
Come and be a Train Driver or a Station Master or Train Crew. We had a great time at the evening in October where Train Drivers received their Train Driver’s Licence 19 driver in all, a great effort everyone!
Cross Creek Membership is only $15 per year starting with the New Year in April For more info contact Roz (Secretary) See you in the new Summer Season!!
