THE MINI FELL COMPLEX

April 11, 2017 April 2017 No Comments

Cross Creek Railway’s Friday Night 3rd March was a magnificent night to ride the rail. The Engine Shed rocked to the noise of over 19 train drivers who were there to receive their 2017/2019 train driving licence.
The extension shed is progressing with Alan and Trevor nearly ¾ of the way through the build. It is looking strong and substantial. The surrounds will look fantastic when finished.

The introduction of Friday night train rides (5.30pm-8pm) is slowly penetrating with the public. It will take time but we are pleased with the present result and the altered Sunday times (11.30-2pm) are more convenient for train crews as well as the public.
Cross Creek Railway is slowly winding down for the winter when maintenance will be carried out in new, warm, shed conditions.
The photo is Alan Spinks driving Dolgoch ,Cross Creek Railway’s steam engine which is now residing in the Hutt Valley and Dolgoch’s brother Brynglas.
Come and be a train driver we will give you a good time,
