September 10, 2024 September 2024 No Comments

Plans are well under way for a Wairarapa fundraising event for Life Flight on Friday 1

November at the Waihenga Centre in Martinborough.

The team organising the event – JC Baxter, Nick Arnold, Susan Arnold-Barron and

Susan Stephen, along with Seb Grodd and Caroline Lee from Life Flight, cvlaim they are very excited about the Cocktail Function and are hoping to raise $50,000 which equates to 25 helicopter

missions.

There has been a fantastic response from businesses and individuals providing prizes for

the Mystery Balloons, Silent Auction and Auction – from wine, firewood and pea straw to art, a

Beekeeper Experience and a beautiful red bicycle!

Prior to the event, there will be an amazing raffle for sale. Called ‘Take Flight’, the prizes for

the raffle are 10 wonderful homestays and family bach stays from Ngawi, Palliser Bay, Tora,

Tauherenikau, Greytown, Martinborough, Riversdale and Castlepoint.

The cost for the Cocktail Function is $75.00 a head and raffle tickets $20 per ticket. Tickets will be available for the event and the raffle from mid-September.
