A ONE NIGHT STAND

June 18, 2015 June 2015 No Comments

Madcaps has been producing shows since 1982 in Martinborough with the majority of the shows being held at the town hall and although we still use the hall, with the current restrictions on the venue we look forward to the new hall renovations and facilities. The Madcaps community has pledged some money to assist with the renovations but we would like to continue with realising the funds so the building can commence. Hence ‘A One Night Stand’ was born. This will be a fun evening of a three course dinner, catered for by Café Medici and a show.

The show is produced by Steve Lewis, a talented musician with vast experience both singing and producing. Martinborough’s very own band, Short Circuit, including renowned pianist Peter Totman will provide the music which they have done for many years at previous shows.

Local Sound technicians Shaun McGillicuddy and Dylan Taylor will ensure a quality sound for the performance. John Mac Gibbon of MC Consultants from Dannevirke will once again bring the stage to life with the lighting.

Stars too many to mention including Pip Maynard, a well known vocalist, and newcomers Fiona and Serena Couchman who have vast experience and many stage shows between them. Local personality JP (John Priest) will be our MC and host for the evening.

We love the support we receive from the Martinborough Community and look forward to entertaining them with our latest show. It is great to be able to raise funds for the town hall and at the same time entertain the community who are providing support for the hall.
