BLOOMING TIME FOR ROSE & FLOWER SHOW IN MARTINBOROUGH

November 6, 2020 November 2020 No Comments

The annual Martinborough Rose & Flower Show is celebrating its 77th anniversary on Saturday 14th November, 2020.  A small committee have been working behind the scene in our current turbulent times to ensure the show goes ahead.

This is an opportunity to share your garden blooms with the locals and visitors, and be rewarded for your efforts with trophies and prizes up for grabs.

The Rose & Flower Show is a community event open for all garden enthusiasts, experienced and novice to enter your blooms in a range of categories, including Roses, Home & Garden, Cut Flower and Floral Art.  There is a Children’s section for the young floral enthusiast. If you are an amateur photographer, there is also the Photography section for you to enter.

Exhibitors are invited to bring your blooms along to the Martinborough Town Hall – Waihenga Centre between 7.30am – 10.00am. Allow 45 minutes to stage your entries.  There will be committee members on hand to assist novice entrants with the process and vases are provided. Some entry regulations apply.

Judging is completed by experienced gardeners and local personalities, some being previous winners at the show.

After judging is completed, the exhibition is open to public viewing from 12.00pm – 3.30pm, to enjoy the floral creations, stall holders and raffle tickets.

Admission is by gold coin donation and all profits are donated to local charities and organisations.

Join us to share in the celebration of 77 years of exhibiting local gardens and their creators.
