Business Assn. supporting local businesses

“A strong emphasis in any crisis is communication. The Martinborough Business Association has been regularly communicating with its members throughout the Covid-19 crisis  by  email, Facebook posts and ongoing meetings by Zoom with the Associations committee.

We have built and re-strengetned partnerships with WellingtonNZ formerly the regional development unit), Wairarapa Economic Development Strategy (WEDS), Destination Wairarapa and Business Wairarapa.

WellingtonNZ has been very active in providing support ( including financial packages) for business owners through online webinars. These webinars have been pitched at small businesses, and cover all the functions of a  business including resilience and wellbeing sessions for business owners. The webinars have been delivered by a range a high calibre specialists.

Our Chair is involved in the business sector of WEDS representing the Martinborough Associations views and actions and also collaborating across the towns in South Wairarapa. For readers who want to know more about WEDS plans they can go to https://www.growwairarapa.nz/

The Association has been active in promoting buy local and the offerings local business have (and have developed) The on line world id growing with may retailers in food and beverage offering this as sales opportunity to meet the lock down conditions
