By day Kate Throp’s in charge of Margrain’s tasting room but she’s also great lover of shoes.  Perhaps that’s why a TV1 story about Lazy Sneakers first caught her eye.

Lazy Sneakers was started in Wellington by 12 year old Maia Mariner who realised that not everyone at her school could play sport,  because they couldn’t afford suitable shoes.  She called her initiative Lazy Sneakers because she figured there were lots of sports shoes lying around unused in people’s cupboards   She wanted them to have an active life again.  … Continue Reading

Please tell us.

March 31, 2020 April 2020 Comments Off on Please tell us.

You will probably notice that this issue is a bit light on interesting local items. With the lock down Chris obviously can’t get about to events or do interviews . So we are relying on you, our readers, to help by sending in items of interest. If you are unsure of your writing skills  give us a call and tell either Chris (306 8286) or Mike (3089 978) about it and we will get it into written words.

We do intend to keep publishing through these difficult times but do need to have items of local interest to fill the pages.
