25TH ANNIVERSARY LUNCHEON

Our Club had great pleasure in celebrating reaching 25 years with an excellent lunch held at the South Wairarapa Working Men’s Club – congratulations to the chef!
We began with a glass of excellent mulled wine which warmed the hands and the heart and encouraged people to mix and mingle. Peter Totman contributed to the friendly relaxed atmosphere with some background piano music which was much appreciated. … Continue Reading

The season is nearing the end, and at time of this being read the Senior competition will be over…

Our Senior A team made the Premier Plate Final (Hodder Steffert Cup), this was played against Carterton. Results are not in at time of writing but to keep up to date with all that is going on with the club you can go to our Facebook page or our website HYPERLINK “http://www.martinboroughrugbyclub.co.nz/”www.martinboroughrugbyclub.co.nz
Representative trials are happening at the moment for our Under 11, 12, and 13 players. We wish them luck, and with the Heartland competition season starting soon we wish our Senior players luck with selection.

During the season our Under 11 and Under 13 teams travelled up to Eketahuna on their own supporters bus to support our Senior A team. Raffles were run at our home games to fund this trip, it was an enjoyable trip which we hope to repeat every 2 years.
Our Prizegiving this year is on Saturday 12 September, this will start at 5pm with our JAB following on with the Seniors, all supporters are welcome to attend. More details will be in next months Star.

Thanks as always to our volunteers, supporters, and committee members that have been working hard this season. All support is much appreciated!

Martinborough Golf Club has tumbled down

The demolition of the Martinborough Golf Club is complete. In the last days prior to Christmas a fully-insulated pole shed, much like a top end farm outbuilding, was erected to act as both office and temporary clubhouse. New septic tanks, internet connectivity, power, water, and Porticom loos were installed. On …
