June 18th and despite the rather cloudy day and the threat of light misty rain 35 Martinborough residents turned out to transform the corner of Hinakura and Todd’s Rd behind the fence on the golf course.

When the pine trees were removed last year, the bare patch was obvious.  Now thanks to Jane Lenting, and the South Wairarapa Biodiversity group, neighbours from Weld St, Book Club members, Golf Club members, Council and Business Association members planting began. … Continue Reading

For the month of May the Pink Ladies (Lucy Petersen, Nadia White & Rachael Colton) were fundraising for Pink Ribbon (Breast Cancer Foundation)…we are happy to say that we have raised a grand total of $4496.49!!

Over Queen’s Birthday weekend First Church celebrated in style – marking 150 years since our first church building was opened. 

Like many good things our celebrations were in three parts: a dinner was held on Saturday evening with the church family, friends and supporters and introducing our special guests The Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand the Right Rev. Fakaofo Kaio and his wife Ruth.
