Don’t miss the bus!

May 9, 2022 May 2022 No Comments

If you’re young and looking for work, get on the Careers Bus!

A two-day Employment Expo is coming to Featherston, Martinborough and Greytown in late May and it will be full of great experiences.

Not sure what job pathway you should head towards? Jump on our interactive bus which will have special stands that give you lots of ideas depending on the interests you select.

Then move out of the Bus and into the tent, which local employers will be able to give you advice, tell you about job opportunities and answer your questions on your career interests.

Then snag a sausage from our sausage sizzle and a can of drink.

The expo is being run by Mayor’s Taskforce for Jobs which is finding and placing lots of young people in local work. Currently there are lots of Wairarapa employers looking for willing workers and MTFJ have resources that can help you and the employer make it happen.

Dates for the bus are
Monday and Tuesday 23 and 24 May – Martinborough

Thursday 26 and Friday 27 May – Featherston

Monday 30 and Tuesday 31 May – Greytown

But if you miss the bus, don’t worry. We will leave behind some special “pods” where you can go and find out information throughout the year.

More about that and the locations of our expos to be confirmed. Keep an eye on the South Wairarapa District Council’s website.
