Explore the Brain
Here’s news about some exciting research going on.
Human Brain Simulator
Scientists have created this simulation that lets you see which parts of the brain are activated by differing activities. It’s amazing!
You can flip, rotate, and click around this online 3D model to learn about the different regions of the brain and their functions.
For example, here is an image of where the brain is activated during Working Memory

(It takes a short while to load and you will see why when you use it. It is well worth the wait.)
The Human Brain Project
The Human Brain Project aims to put in place a cutting-edge research infrastructure that will allow scientific and industrial researchers to advance our knowledge in the fields of neuroscience, computing, and brain-related medicine.
The 10-year Project began in 2013 and directly employs some 500 scientists at more than 100 universities, teaching hospitals, and research centres across Europe
