It’s time for the fourth annual Featherston Art Sale!
This will be a gala exhibition and sale event fundraising for the Featherston Community Centre. There will be an eclectic collection of art pieces available, made by local Wairarapa artists, who will also be on hand to share their insights and inspirations at the opening night on 9 May from 6pm.
As part of the Featherston Booktown weekend, it will be a fabulous showcase of Wairarapa talent, from established professional artists to first-time exhibitors.
Drawings, paintings, sculptures and pottery, for sale on a “cash n carry” basis from $50 to $2000, will satisfy all budgets.
The opening night celebration is from 6pm on Thursday 9 May at the Featherston Community Centre, 14 Wakefield Street. Tickets for the opening are $10 at the door (free for youth under 16).
The Featherston Community Centre is an important hub for the region’s residents to meet, socialise, and access social services. It offers cooking, singing, book groups, counselling, knitting, yoga, and arts and crafts activities. The Community Centre is a non-profit organisation, and funds raised from the Art Sale help keep the centre open, welcoming, and fit for purpose.
Artist registration; Wairarapa artists and artists with a connection to the Wairarapa are invited to register by 20 April to be in the sale. Registration is now open at https://featherstoncommunity.org.nz/.
