Goodness and mercy all my life

Shall surely follow me:

And in God’s house for evermore my dwelling place shall be.

The 150th celebrations held on Queen’s Birthday weekend will be over by the time you are reading this Star. A full programme was planned to include a Dinner on the Saturday evening, a special Anniversary service in the church on Sunday morning, attended by the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, The Right Rev. Fakaofo Kaio, followed by lunch in the Martinborough Town Hall to celebrate this occasion with many invited guests. An account of the weekend’s activities will appear in next month’s Star.

The congregation of First Church has been much encouraged by the great interest and support of all who responded to our invitation to be part of our anniversary celebrations as we recalled the past with our many friends, and looked to the future.

Every house is builded by some man;

But he that built all things is God.
