The Mini Book Fair on the 21st May got off to an interesting start.  We had just managed to finish the final setting up and were ready for a cuppa, when low and behold, off went the power.  This turned out to a major outage, so we rugged up in our winter jackets – opened the doors to prospective purchasers and were thrilled to bits that lots of people came.  As well as having books for sale, we had linen, clothing, housewares, raffle, and plants for sale. Books were priced at $2 each or 3 for $5 and were the most popular item.  Thanks to a portable Eftpos machine we were able to do Eftpos and cash sales.

A huge thank you to all the team who put this together, the people who braved the cold and came, the total raised was $1,270.00 which was fantastic and will be used towards the work of the church.

For those of you who missed out on coming on the 21st we are holding another Mini Book Fair on Saturday the 16th July 2022 from 10am till 2pm in the First Church Hall, Weld Street, Martinborough. Please note the day and time in your diaries.

We are continuing to hold our Sunday services, Café Style, in the Church Hall from 9.45am (time for a cuppa and something home made to eat), service at 10am.  All are very welcome – we would love to have you join us.

Quote for the month – May the month give you courage, strength, confidence, patience, and inner peace.  May every day in June fill your days with hope, love, sunshine, and energy. Let there be joy, fun and lots of laughter.
