Green Jersey looking towards site development

September 12, 2020 September 2020 No Comments

The proprietors of the Green Jersey Explorer Tours Limited are Joe and Pam Howells, Lucia Zanmonti, Stuart Edwards with Stuart’s parents Allan and Myra Edwards as investors in the property. They are now looking at the options to develop the old Council Yards site of 0.34 Hectare (0.84 acre) on the corner of Kitchener and Broadway Streets in Martinborough.

Spokesman Joe Howells said that the families involved are keen to develop the site in a way that adds to the attractions of Martinborough. “Green Jersey is going to need a new shed to operate from within the next two years, and we are keen to ensure that we build something that fits into the overall development of the site but which also  supports the development of the town”.

The team are currently thinking of a tourism themed development that may include budget accommodation and provide a site for other tourism and visitor servicing operators to collaborate from. “We are currently getting some help with the Master Planning phase”, said Joe.

The Green Jersey Team welcomes input from anyone who has ideas on how the site could be best developed or other pertinent thoughts on what Martinborough needs more of. To input, either contact Stuart (021 746640) or Joe (027 5972667), email joe@greenjersey.co.nz or call into the Green Jersey Shed and have a chat to them.
