Greytown Little Theatre coming to Martinborough

July 23, 2019 July2019 No Comments

I am pleased to announce that our end of year production will be the much loved ʼAllo’ Allo. So polish up those French or German accents and prepare for a hilarious romp in Café René!
Greytown Little Theatre will be presenting a five performance season of the ever popular ʼAllo’ Allo at the Waihinga Centre – Martinborough Town Hall from Wednesday 27 November to Sunday 1 December 2019.
This production will have a number of events wrapped around it as part of our theatre’s major fund-raising effort.
There’s a large cast and all the popular characters from the TV series are included. The play will be directed by Lynn Bushell and I will be the Production Manager. If you would like to register your interest, either on stage or backstage for this production email me j.gilberthorpe@xtra.co.nz
Auditions will be held in late July/early August in Greytown and in Martinborough. Rehearsals will start mid-September and will be held in Greytown.
Another exciting announcement is that we are planning to start after-school drama classes for primary aged children. These classes will be conducted by experienced drama teachers and will start at the beginning of school term 3. More details to follow.
We are working away steadily on the new theatre project. I’m pleased to report that we have received our resource consent and we are now focusing on our major fund-raising efforts. We have established a community fund-raising committee, but we’d like more helpers to support this team.
If you are interested in assisting, please email me or call on 0274 586 126.

John Gilberthorpe President, Greytown Little Theatre
