Inner Wheel South Wairarapa
We have been lucky to get some excellent publicity in the Midweek Wairarapa this month. It described Inner Wheel in its national and international context. While it showed off our knitting, the article also conveyed how we are so much more than a knitting circle. And to give a prime example, we can celebrate the wonderful achievement of former Inner Wheel District 294 Chair, Darlene Westrupp, for being elected to the International Inner Wheel’s Committee! Congratulations Darlene!
Our new President, Alma Parr has arranged a delightful occasion to celebrate her new role. This will be a special afternoon tea at the Old Court House in Carterton later in the month.
Among the many things we have learned since the advent of Covid 19 is adaptability, flexibility and resilience. This is especially true with regard to arranging a change of dinner venue. Alma and other committee members have been working very hard to get one organised. In the meantime our next meeting is afternoon tea on 19 August at the Cobblestones Museum with the catering done by the Friends of Cobblestones. Their food is very good and the venue a ‘must see’ Museum.
New members very welcome. Please contact Alma Parr at 022 653510 or email:almaparr@gmail.com.
