Martinborough Lions Club update

November 6, 2020 November 2020 No Comments

Martinborough Lions have enjoyed meeting in a mainly Covid 19 free New Zealand over the past few weeks. Our last meeting in October was a “Halloween” themed night, which was a lot of fun for everyone. This was a “business meeting” as well, so it was a good illustration of how the club really works hard to make our meetings enjoyable, whilst getting the “jobs done”. Whilst the photo makes it look really “scary”, we are actually a club that is firmly based on friendship and comaradie.

The Lion’s Annual Christmas luncheon for all people living alone is on 5th December at 12 noon at the Lion’s Hall, 1 Oxford Street, Martinborough. Anyone wanting to come is welcome to enjoy our Christmas cheer. Contact Tom Bunny 306-9550 or John Blundell 306-9140.

Thanks to those who have donated firewood trees to lions – we probably have enough trees to keep us busy for now. Anyone needing firewood for next winter, particularly those for whom cost is an issue, please contact us to get some wood delivered.

Martinborough Lions are keen to attract new members. Anyone interested is welcome to come to a few of our meetings to “sus us out”, and see if it’s something that you are interested in. Please contact Club President Joe Howells on 027 597 2667 or joehowells57@gmail.com for more information.
