February 17, 2020 February 2020 No Comments

Thanks to the Martinborough Football Club, Liverpool Supporters Club of Wellington, and the SWDC an AED  (defibrillator) has been mounted on the wall outside the changing sheds & gym.  This faces both the rugby and football pitches…we hope it never has to be used bust such a great thing to have on site in case of an emergency!

HEARTBEAT COMMUNITY CPR TRAINING – we are very fortunate to have Wairarapa Heartbeat  running a session at the Clubrooms on Wednesday 19 February at 7pm, this is to train members of the community how to react in the event of a cardiac arrest (CPR and the use of an AED), in particular there will be scenarios specific to the sports club environment.  If you are interested in attending please contact Matthew.hitchiner@wfa.org.nz

Thanks to the Racing Industry Transition Agency we were fortunate to receive a Grant of $4320 to fund new playing jerseys for both our senior teams in 2020!

Pre season training has started for our senior players, if you are interested in playing this year and haven’t already been in touch, please contact our Coaches – James Bruce (Premier) 0272772962 or Marshall Love (Reserves) 0276607488.

SIDELINE SIGNS – if you would like to see your business advertised on the side of the field please contact Rachael benview@xtra.co.nz for details, the deadline for this year is the 20 February.  Not only is your sign seen at rugby games but also at some of the big events that use our grounds such as Cruise Martinborough etc.
