Martinborougnh Rugby Club_webOur JAB teams have begun their season, full of energy and enthusiasm. The Under 11 & Under 13 teams have each had their first games under lights at Memorial Park, this was pretty exciting for them, and great for the parents who didn’t have a pile of muddy clothes to deal with.

A huge thanks to all the parents, grandparents and caregivers that give up a chunk of their weekends to transport our kids around. We don’t have many home games but when we do they would love the support so come on down and show your support for our future Senior players.

We recently held our Club Day (aka Old Timers Day), we had continuous rugby from 9.30am starting with our JAB teams concluding with our Senior A side. The Kuranui 1st XV took on Chanel so there was rugby of all levels being showcased. Club Day is a chance to celebrate past players, volunteers, supporters and members who have, and continue to contribute so much to our club.

Our Senior Reserve team made a return to their competition with a close win against Marist Reserves 24-22, the win meant they retained the Howie Family Cup.
A huge thank you goes to Trust House Foundation who granted us $1500 towards a heat pump in our clubrooms, this was installed in perfect time for the cold wet rugby days.

Social membership is available for only $20, please enquire at the bar at our next home game, we value all support of Martinborough Rugby Club. Behind the bar we also have a limited amount of supporters gear, so come and take a look.

Supporters are welcome to come into the clubrooms during and after home games, the bar is open, food available and with our new heatpump it is always warm!
