Recently our Club hosted the Wellington Lions rugby team for an afternoon training session, they made use of our grounds, clubrooms and gym. They were so impressed with our Gym that a few of them have asked for transfer forms to play for us for the 2017 season…Well thats not 100% correct…but they were impressed with our gym and they would be welcome back anytime.
We were very sad to hear of the passing recently of our Patron Kevin McGillicuddy, this came only a short time after the loss of his wife Shirley, both of whom had many years involvement with our Club. Kevin has been our Patron for 20 years (1997-present), past President (1971-80) and a Life Member. Our thoughts have been with the family over this time.

The Wairarapa Bush Rugby Awards were held in Masterton recently, Rachael Colton was a finalist in Administrator of the Year category.
Although the season is over for most, plans are already underway for the 2017 season. We will be changing our gear supplier to BLK, this will mean new jerseys for the whole club – from JAB through to the Seniors.

With this comes some great sponsorship opportunities, if you are interested in any way please contact Rachael 0276932960. We are always open to fundraising opportunities, we have plenty of fit strong guys so if you have a big job needing doing contact James Bruce and he will see if they can help 0272772962.

Mark on your calendar the 1 October for our JAB & Senior Prizegiving, this will be a combined event for all players, families and supporters.
Our social touch rugby competition will return early November, watch this space for more details coming soon.
