Zooming through the Lock-down!

From the time of the Corona Virus lock-down at level 4 at the end of March, all church services at the church were cancelled but First Church Martinborough was able to join up with members of Masterton XplorationNZ creating services together using the Zoom online link.

Many enjoyed this novel experience and appreciated the efforts of our Ministers and team which helped them feel connected during the 10 week lock-down, and enabled us to celebrate Easter and Anzac Day in particular with thoughtful words and music.

We appreciated everyone who embraced this new way of “being church”. On the last Sunday in May we were able to meet again in our hall and celebrate coming together in person once more , and we will continue to do so –   at 10 am in the hall.

The Mid-Winter date of the usual book fair has gone by but we are definitely planning to hold a Book Fair in the Town Hall – at the time of writing we hope all being well in August. We are collecting books as in previous years at our hall– contact Pam Colenso or any member of the church for help with access or transportation.
