South Wairarapa Inner Wheel

September 13, 2017 September 2017 No Comments

A huge thank you to the community, businesses and individuals of Wairarapa that made our first ever Silent Auction such a success. Whether it was through contributions of goods or vouchers, attending on the day, spreading the word or donations. It all helped us to achieve a great outcome. We would also like to acknowledge and thank the South Wairarapa Rotarians for their help and support.

We are pleased to announce that, in spite of the Wintery chill on the day, we managed to raise enough funds to send not one, but three girls to Outward Bound – a life-changing experience!
We were very fortunate to have Alex Nyman, a professional and highly accomplished local musician, entertain us from the foyer of the Greytown Town Hall, whilst luring people in from the pavement. Although Alex had a warm jacket, and received a stream of hot drinks from the kitchen, it was still a ‘big ask’ and we are most grateful for his generosity.
Thanks to the Scouts who ran the sausage sizzle! Perfect for a cold day! Also to Lamb Peters for their generosity with our advertising.
Please pass on our thanks to anyone else you know who has contributed or helped in any way. It was a big learning curve and lots of fun along the way.
