TUHIRANGI JAB RUGBY

November 11, 2019 November 2019 No Comments

The 2019 Tuhirangi JAB rugby season has come to an end but we have had a great year.  We had approx. 45 children registered and they played across 6 different teams ranging from Under 6 Rippa through to the Under 13’s.

This year we had two Tuhirangi Under 6 Rippa teams and a Tuhirangi Under 8s team, but the rest of our players had to combine with other clubs to make up the numbers.  We would like to take this opportunity to thank Featherston and Martinborough Rugby Clubs for letting us combine with them to ensure all our JAB players could play in the appropriate grades.

Our Under 11 and Under 13 teams both had successful seasons and made the semi-finals in each of those grades.

The following players made their age appropriate Wairarapa Bush rep teams:

Under 13’s – Nathan Shaw and Kingston Love

Under 12’s – Billy McCreary, Tom Clarkson and Dougal Radford

Under 11’s – Edward Weatherstone

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the coaches and managers of all our teams for their work on and off the field.  Also the committee for the work they have done during the 2019 season – Mark Clarkson (President), Mel Handyside (Treasurer), Victoria Shaw (Secretary).
