Pony Club camp

Last month the South Wairarapa and Hutt Valley Pony Clubs combined for a pony club camp at Tauherenikau race course. Twenty six young riders and their ponies spent a very busy four days learning new and brushing up their existing riding and horse care skills.

The young people were divided up into groups of three or four which were then rotated throughout each day for sessions with different tutors, each teaching in his or her particular area of expertise. In the photo the jumping instructor has a group’s close attention.
