The Great Tora Cook Off

It’s on a again! Forget Master Chef, this is the real deal. The Annual Great Tora Cook Off is back again, this year to be held on Saturday July 4th. As usual the competition will be held under seven categories.

The competition is open to all. Dishes can be entered in categories of either: paua fritters, seafood, wild game, farmed animal, home grown produce, desert or children’s entry. Here’s your opportunity to show off that special food combination and wow the judges to become a category winner, or even take out the big prize and be crowned the 2015 Tora Master Chef.

The popularity of this competition held at the Tora Woolshed has grown year on year with people now coming from as far away as Wellington to sample the unique dishes of the smorgasbord of delights. For what makes this competition different is that the people are the judges. Tastings of all entries are available with the points allocated according to their level of enjoyment.

With the increasing numbers attending the event it has been decided to pre sell tickets to ensure a smooth running of the event. Prices are adults $20, Children $10, Family $45.
