Hi from Plunket

July 2, 2014 July 2014, Regular Features No Comments

Hi, not much to report for the Star this month, though there is a massive storm front about to hit the country and there’s more of that weather coming for the next month.

One thing I’ve really been aware of is there are some families struggling with simple needs such as keeping warm and providing simple nutritious meals that are not blowing the budget.

Keep a look out for my cooking demonstration (location to be confirmed) called ‘Feeding a family of 4 for $10″ I’m setting myself a simple challenge to have a fortnightly foodie cooking session where you can come along and see me make a Spaghetti Bolognese or some other yummy dinner.

I’ll put up notices at the library, and P and K’s so keep your eyes posted. I know it’s not at ‘Plunket’ thing, but Plunket is about helping every day families do every day things such as caring for their babies and family. I’m sure you’ll agree.

We are pleased to have some extra people come and help with our meetings last month, we are always after more, so drop us a line or call us!.. there is of course our coffee play groups at the Plunket rooms on Venice Street, we’d love to see you there.

Linda Blake writing for the lovely Plunket Team here in Martinborough.
