Martinborough Business Assn.
Loving local closes the loop
Labour weekend heralds the start of the high season, the temperatures start to rise , and there is a hint of the summer fun ahead.
With summer comes the festive season and after another rollercoaster year the retail sector of the membership are hopeful of a fantastic season ahead.
Plans for the season ahead are not without casualties as we know and although we have been blessed with visitors and the weekends are a buzz there is a hope our own community will really #lovelocal this year and support our businesses.
With such a fabulous range of options there really is something for everyone to be found in Martinborough,
Many of our local businesses are great supporters of our local community fundraisers, supporting school, sports teams and more throughout the year, so #lovelocal helps support them to thrive. What comes around goes around as they say!
This year our retailers are looking to add some festive fun to the village and they have organised three late night shopping events, happening Friday 19th November, Friday 3rd & 17th December. The shops will be open until 7pm and there will be shopping specials and a festive feel to the occasion, as well as an Advent Competition incentive so keep a lookout on FaceBook on any of the retailers or Martinborough Business Association to find out more!
The Business association will again be decking the streets with eight garlands this year! Thanks to the Martinborough Community Board and Dudley at Neighbourhood we’ve been able to add another three to the offering and these will mean Cambridge Road and the Museum will be sprinkled with festive cheer. Another project we hope to grow each year.
So here’s to summer, continue to stay safe and keep on loving local.
