Martinborough Returned Service Association

June 13, 2022 June 2022 No Comments

The RSA is very grateful to everyone who donated to the Poppy Appeal on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd of April – plus all those people who donated through the Poppy tins around the town in Martinborough, the Community Hall at Ngawi, Lake Ferry Hotel and Pirinoa Country Store – the donations were overwhelming, and the total raised was $3955.10.  This money will be used for welfare for Veterans and members of the RSA.

Unfortunately, we were unable to hold our Dawn Service, and held a small wreath laying service at 10am on ANZAC morning.  It was very special to have the support of the local community and visitors to our town.  The many wreaths and poppies laid on the Cenotaph show that we will never forget those who lost their lives making our world a safer/ better place to live.

Thank you all so very much for your support.

Pam Colenso Secretary, Martinborough RSA 0274414892
