Martinborough-Junior-Tennis_300It has been a busy time for the Martinborough Tennis Club juniors.
The Tennis Holiday Programme held just before Christmas was a great success. Over the two days both young novice players and more experienced competitive plays took part in a host of different drill, activities and game play designed to improve their skills and test fitness.

The Martinborough Junior Tennis Open 2013 was on Saturday 21 December and it’s great to see this event back on the calendar and so well attended by 36 enthusiastic boys and girls from around the region competing in the different disciplines.

The novices played on the small courts (Hotshots) and produced some great rallies and competitive play.
On the grass courts the Advanced, Championship and College grades played their singles and doubles. There were lots of very close games and many of the finals were nail-bitingly close.

We hope to continue with this successful tournament and make it better and stronger every year.
