Our JAB has been off to a cracking start!

We have two teams in both U6 & U8, we have a strong U9 team, combined U10 with Greytown, our U11 are combined with Tuhirangi who are off down South in two weeks and again we have a combined U13 South team.

We are lucky enough to have 3 Senior players Nathan Hunt, Tipi Haira and James Pakoti coaching our U6 Rippa teams which keeps the young ones keen and excited to learn. U6 ends at the end of term one and is now being played in Martinborough so feel free to get down and support the future of our club.

Thank you to everyone that helped out with our Trail Ride at the start of the season, this day just gets bigger and bigger each year! A Huge thank you to the Harvey family who generously let us use their farm each year!

Our U11 team is off to attend the annual Methven Rugby tournament for the first time 20 players/coaches/managers will travel on the 12th of July to attend the two day tournament. Lots of hours of fundraising, brainstorming and hard training have gone into this so they can compete in the weekend away! A big thank you to everyone that has helped them with sponsorship, purchasing raffles, attending their quiz night and allowing them to have working bees along the way.

We are looking forward to spending the weekend away representing Martinborough RugbyClub for the first time!

A BIG thank you to Mitre 10 who have sponsored our JAB jackets, we have enough for all 75 kids registered to Martinborough Rugby Club. The jackets are going to be handed out to each player and be returned at the end of each season. We also have balls and flags as well upon registration which we owe a huge thanks to Property Brokers!
