Community Planting Days

June 9, 2021 June 2021 No Comments

Join the South Wairarapa Biodiversity Group for our community planting days this winter.

These events are a great opportunity to connect with nature, enhance our native biodiversity, off-set carbon emissions and meet new people in your community.

Martinborough Planting Day

Where: Martinborough Golf Course, corner of Todds Road and New York Street

When: Friday 18 June, 10am – 12pm

Ōkorewa Lagoon Planting Day

Where: Ōkorewa Lagoon, Lake Ferry

When: Sunday 1 August, 9.30am – 12pm

Sausages and drinks will be provided. Please bring a spade and gloves if you have them and warm clothes. RSVP to swbg@xtra.co.nz.

The South Wairarapa Biodiversity Group was formed in 2011 with the goal of enhancing local biodiversity. Since then our group has planted thousands of trees, hosted visits to local biodiversity hot spots and undertaken regular monitoring of water quality, fish and bird species at Ōkorewa Lagoon.

Learn more about our projects at www.swbg.weebly.com, follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/SthWaiBio and sign up to our mailing list at swbg@xtra.co.nz.
