Tuhirangi-golden-oldies_webKen Aburn turned fifty on June the 14th and to help him celebrate his Tuhirangi rugby team put up fifty points against East Coast. Along with Alistair Boyne (‘Tora’), and Wayne Jephson (‘Jeppy’), Ken (‘Mutton’) are the Golden oldies of the Tuhirangi forward pack totalling 144 years between them.

We at the club are so lucky with our members. Bill & Mavis Jones have kindly donated a Barbecue which will certainly come in handy at the next Junior Open so thank you so much you two.

The ‘Wakefield Bell’ has been given a spit and a polish as well as a new lanyard thanks to Shane Arndell and now that its origins are known it would seem a fitting time at resurrecting a team event between the Navy and members of the club.
