Cooking-corner Great Aunt Agatha’s Christmas Cake
Ingredients
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
4 large eggs
2 cups dried fruit
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup brown sugar
nuts
lemon juice
1 quart whisky

Method
Before you begin check whisky for quality. Good Quality? Then begin:
Select large bowl and measuring cup etc.
Double check whisky- pour 1 level cup into glass and drink
Beat butter in processor until fluffy add thugar and bleat again
Ensure whisky is still OK – try another cup.
Add two arge eggs and fried fruit and bleat till high.
If fluit gets stuck pry off with scwewriver.
Ampole the whshky agin.
Sift 3 cups salt add half a pint of leom juice
Fold in chopped butter and strained nuts
If firsty have another whsky
Add a bubblespoon brown shugar
Grease oven and turn baking tin to 350 greebies
Pour whole mess in an ake
Have a nightcap and toddle off to bed
