Hi from Martinborough Plunket

February 9, 2015 February 2015 No Comments

It’s been a fantastic summer so far hasn’t it?!

I can’t believe the school holidays are over already, we’ve had a great break over the holidays. What’s on the agenda locally?   For starters, the second Martinborough Fair is coming up in March if you didn’t see our rest room in the Town Hall for parents needing a place to go change babies and have a wee cuppa while you are here, keep a look out for our banner (and an ear as it is broadcast over the P.A system).

It’s tidied up every couple of hours by some of our committee members who pop in to empty the bin and check there is plenty of milk on hand. You might even run into one of our Plunket champions,  Lia Wood, whose awesome efforts supporting families, clinical staff and organising events and fundraisers has put her in the spotlight as a Kiwibank Local Hero at the NZer of the Year Awards in 2014 – go Lia, you rock!

If you have ever thought of donating a few hours a month to help out on the Plunket committee give us a call on 0630 66176 evenings or pop into the coffee playgroup which will be starting up again in Feb. Look out for our poster advertising the dates  in the window at the Plunket rooms on Venice street or on the P and K notice board.
We’d love to see you there.
