Wairarapa Connecting communities have organised a holiday programme for those last weeks of the summer holidays when the young people’s boredom starts to set in.

Commencing on Monday 12th January the programme to be held at Card Recreation Grounds at Featherston (Johnston Street – opposite the railway station) and goes through to Friday 23rd.

From Monday 12th to Thursday 15th between 9 am and 12 noon there will be a variety of sport to chose from including rippa rugby, cricket, softball, footsall, tennis and athletics. Following a 12 – 12.30 lunch break the activity will be focused on building trolleys and then having races with them.

From Tuesday 20th through to Friday 23rd the morning programme will continue as on the first week but the afternoon will be swimming at the Featherston pools – also at Card recreation Grounds.

The programmes are suitable for between 11 and 17 years and enrolments are required to allow the organisers how many to cater for. Enrolment forms are at the libraries or online at: www.connectingcommunities.org.nz . For further information phone: 06 378 8900
