Library Book review
Quiet: the power of introverts in a world that can’t stop talking
By Susan Cain
This is a very new addition to the library, purchased after a customer request. What an amazing book. We are all different and thank goodness for those differences. Susan Cain explains introversion and the wide divide between introvert and extrovert.
The book describes the strengths of those who are naturally quiet, serious or sensitive and gives introverts the tools to take full advantage of those strengths. Some very famous introverts have given us our greatest ideas, art and inventions. We would not have Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Charlie Brown, Google and the theories of relativity and gravity – what a loss that would have been.
Susan Cain’s book is a Sunday Times and New York Times bestseller and has been translated into over 30 languages. ‘It’s time for everyone to listen. It’s time to harness the power of introverts. It’s time for Quiet.’
