At the door of the year
When the past meets the future
Let this moment be light
For the roads we will tread;
When the clock seems too fast
Or goes slowly within us,
Let our faith tell the time –
There are good things ahead!

At the end of the first month of this New Year – basking in these very warm Summer days, we wish everyone “good things ahead”. This January has been a time for relaxing in the warm days, time to take stock of ourselves and the world we live in, and think about priorities before the diary fills up again with the regular activities.

We at First Church have been more relaxed this month and have enjoyed Cafe-style meetings on Sundays mornings in our Hall, which lets everyone contribute thoughts and concerns, as we learn and share together.

However! – We are plunging into our first project for the year with The Country Fairs.
First Church is proud to have had a stall at every fair since the first in 1977, with just 35 stalls. So on Saturday 6 February and Saturday 5 March we will be there again now with about 450 other stalls! Come and find us for our great country baking, preserves and produce.
