Now that our last event for this year – the Kirk Fair, has come and gone, we want to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of all this year’s fairs – the Country Fairs in February and March, the Monster Book Fair in June and our most recent traditional Kirk Fair last month. The assistance from everyone who plans, organises, promotes, works very hard on the day, and so importantly helps with the clean-up has been wonderful.
Our thanks of course to all the “customers” who support us and buy.

We are not a large group of people, but the great team effort has enabled us to have enough money to starts some necessary maintenance on our buildings, and we have plans to upgrade our hall inside and out.
We are now in the fortunate position of being able to afford a half time Minister, Dr Jim Veitch. This now puts us in a more stable situation which we have not had since Rev. Barbara Curteis was our full time minister here 10 years ago.
People may be aware of reports of what the Presbyterian Church expects of parishes these days – we are very clear that we continue to be inclusive of everybody. We certainly aim to have fun as a group, sharing our exploration of faith and the Bible, and supporting each other on our life journeys – a community trying to find and share the good things in life.

Our church services are a bit different from what they used to be – using contemporary hymns with more relevant words for today, and there is often discussion of readings. If you haven’t been to church for a while, you are welcome to join us – Sundays 10am. We will be approaching Advent and celebrating Christmas in a fresh way.
