Thank you from Martinborough Youth Forum

Community Board Member Adi McMaster
Our Youth Forum had a combined Keorahi rugby team with Greytown in The Carterton Waifest. It was a day filled with music, keorahi and food!

We had a sausage sizzle ran almost entirely by Matt Shackleton, a quick ring around and I managed to get serviettes and tomato sauce donated by Rodger from Providore. David Kershaw donated 6kgs of onions, Woolfies Olive 2nd press olive oil went into the cooking of onions that Janet McAlister and I cut and cooked on Friday afternoon.
Rob McMaster from Pakohe Lime cut and put about 15kgs of prime watercress for the hangi which apparently gave the most amazing flavour.

Matt works at New World Carterton, his boss kindly gave us the sausages for cost and 3 cases of iced tea to sell also! So just to say wow thanks to kind and generous people in our community -we can do these things easier with a bit of help.

Matt is now getting a group of youth together to go over to Featherston Muay Thai Boxing gym. Here a woman Kelly, who is seven times world champion, trains youth for $5 a session for fitness, self esteem, and self defence. The Martinborough Community Board is giving Matt some petrol money to take people.

Any youth who would like to come along with Matt and a couple of others on a Thursday evening just give me a call or text 0274822220. What else do you have planned for Thursday evenings over the holidays?
We are also planning a mud run with swamp snorkeling next autumn, and Cooper Jamison is keen to organise a sing star/movie evening
after Christmas.
