We would like to take the opportunity of this final edition of another busy year to acknowledge all the people who have helped make the Star possible.

Our loyal advertisers. Production of the Star requires a considerable amount of cash, it is the advertisers who provide this. Please show your appreciation by supporting them.

Our regular contributors who each month send in the pieces which keeps the Star informative and interesting; Mayor Adrienne Staples, Shirley Nightingale, Bev Dobson, Jemma Low, Mate Higginson, Kevin Campbell, Ric Geisler and members of the Community Board. Thanks too to all the secretaries who regularly send in their club and community reports. And indeed all who send in news items during the year. You are all appreciated , keep it coming.

A big vote of thanks to our loyal delivery people who cheerfully, regardless of the weather, pop the Star in the letter boxes. There would be no point in producing the Star if we did not have this reliable delivery system.

Many thanks to you all – the team.
