TIME TO THINK ABOUT MARTINBOROUGH’S FAMOUS ROSE SHOW

October 7, 2014 October 2014 No Comments

Rose-show Hopefully by now, we all have recovered from ‘Election Fever’ and are ready to return to the delights of gardening. It is still several weeks until our town’s famous occasion; the ‘Martinborough Rose & Flower Show’. However, early planning brings success.

Traditionally held early next month, this year ‘our’ show will be held on SATURDAY 22nd NOVEMBER.
With the uncertainties of climate, and a couple of extra weeks, it will be interesting to see a probable change in the type of exhibits. Of course, roses are timeless so there will be plenty to choose from for the Open and Novice Sections. Another major group is for ‘Cut Flowers’.

This will be certain to be a big one this year but perhaps with a different range and balance. There are also classes for ‘Home & Garden’, Floral Art, and a section especially for our local kids. Research proves that developing imagination in young and not-so-young minds is very good for everyone. What a great reason to participate in this fun event!

Recently renamed, The Rose and Flower Show has a long-standing seventy year history, and the Committee, along with its major sponsor, PROPERTY BROKERS, are dedicated to its continuing future. Mark your calendar NOW.
