WHAREKAKA NEWS

November 18, 2016 November 2016 No Comments

wharekaka-newsThis month seems to have really flown by.
Residents have been out and about and really enjoyed luncheon at one of the Auxiliary member’s homes.

We are looking forward to the Cook Book ‘Tastes from Martinborough’ launch later this month.
The book can be ordered at the Wharekaka reception where a copy is on display, it looks great! All proceeds are going to Wharekaka Rest Home Hospital Level Care fund.

We joined in with a group at the R.S.A in Carterton to listen to Lance Naysmith play. A Kapa Haka was performed by Ideal Services which was very enjoyable.

Our residents are so lucky to have the Martinborough School’s New Entrance class come for regular visits and read to us. The interaction between young and old is great to see and what community is really all about.
Bell Street Kindergarten early learners keep us well entertained too.

We braved the winds on pet day and it was so worth it. What creative children we have in the district. The residents were thrilled to see all the displays and animals and the attention the children paid to their projects.

Coming up we are looking forward to some concerts and many more visits from the community.
