10-for-10 – Jazz in Martinborough 2021
The annual festival of Jazz in Martinborough will be held from 2-5 September this year. “It’s ‘ten-for-ten’” says Marketing Manager Martin Lewis. “Ten concerts for our tenth festival.”
The full line-up of acts has yet to be confirmed, but the team can announce one act already – the sensational Miho Wada Orchestra, for the Saturday evening concert at the Martinborough Town Hall.
“We are thrilled to welcome them back” says Music Director Lee Quayle. “They gave the standout performance of our 2018 festival – I can’t wait to hear them in full flight at the hall.”
The last time MWO played in Martinborough their gig The Village Café was sold out, leaving many disappointed. Lee is sure that the larger venue will give them a much better chance, and that it will be well worth the wait. “Many missed out on a really spectacular show last time,” he says. “but we will have many more seats available at this year’s concert and the acoustics of the venue will really enhance MWO’s rich, dynamic sound,”
Further acts are expected to be announced in June, and bookings the two public concerts will open in July.
