All Go At Matinborough Auto

August 8, 2016 August 2016 No Comments

Martinborough Automotive BP has finally finished Stage 1 of their Upgrade and Revamp. The job was initially started in Oct 2015 but the discovery of the high water table meant the job was put off until February 2016. The Fuel operation was closed for 10 weeks while new tanks, forecourt, canopy and pumps were installed.

The benefits for their customers are easier access from the larger forecourt and more options at each pump. The new ‘Wayne’ pumps are a Swedish Design and MB Auto is the first fuel site in NZ to install them. Technicians have had to come from Australia to install them.

The Fenwick family are very pleased with the new system efficiencies and are looking forward to Stage 2 of the development starting the near future. This is a new workshop area on the Council side of their building. This will greatly increase the amount of workshop floor space for more hoists and the intention to employ more auto technicians [mechanics!] in the future.

Stage 3 a new car Wash system is also on the horizon but no date planned as yet!

This development with its cutting edge technology is a wonderful investment for the town. Although it may have contributed to the rumour circulating recently that the workshop was becoming a ‘Chop Shop’ as a few digits had been removed! The good news is; they are all back on or under repair and the only digits they are worrying about now are the ones being viewed by the Bank Manager!

Congratulations Nathan, Matt, Colin & Eva.
